Ive been a big fan of these guys ever since spotting their ‘Cash Rules Everything’ shirt for 2k by Gingham. They’re work is primarily type based with a strong influence from the 60/70s era of elegant and decorative letterforms that i just love. The two seem to be taking a break from Upnorth at the moment to concentrate on individual work but you can still see lots of Upnorth work on both Steve and Justin’s websites.
The pair also publish the art/design zine ‘One One Nine’ which is currently on its third issue and has seen contributions from the likes of Grotesk, Razauno and Typestereo. Visit the site for purchasing information.
